  7. Can I scan the photos myself?
YES! Scanning your own photos will result in a 20% reduction in the total cost of your project. Many clients choose not to send their original photos and feel more secure shipping a CD copy of them. Please scan them at a high resolution, at least 300 pixels per inch is best. Many large stores (ex: Wal-Mart) currently offer this services. Photos must be saved as a .jpeg/.jpg file. Please give each photo an identifying number corresponding to the order of your presentation. Do not crop photos or copy photos cut into shapes.

  9. How should I arrange my photos?
Number each photo in the order you would like it to appear in the slideshow. Use a pencil to number the back of each photo or use a post-it note. Do not write on the back of your photos with an ink pen. Group photos by their section or song.

  11. How do I select pictures for my project?
Use pictures with lots of action. Remember that your goal is to evoke emotion. Look for photos that will cause your audience to laugh or eww and ahh. Close-ups are best. Far away snap shops often loose their quality when zoomed in. Your television is wider than it is high. Try to find photos that are taken horizontally rather than vertically. Vertical photos tend to leave empty space at the sides.

  17. What are captions and titles?
Captions are used to help the audience follow the story. They refer to a single photo. (ex: Johnny's First Tooth)
Titles are used to introduce a section of photos. (ex: The Early Years)
